Prison Pen Pals

So I just happened to be up most of the night and decided to download the AOL desktop version. As I loaded the program I saw the "my favorites" tab and clicked on it to find many old favorites that I had lost when I deleted and stopped using the AOL desktop version.
One of the tabs happened to be a search of prison pen pals sites. Therefore, I gave it another shot thinking that it had been at least several years since so I was older and wiser and could give this a shot.

I think everyone deserves a friend or at least someone who is willing to take the time to sit down and listen to someone and hear their side of the argument. Now I know that I could be wrong about these criminals, but I figured it could not hurt to try it. I mean I want to know why they are in prison and then if it is something that I cannot bring to think of then I could always discontinue talking to that person.
I replied to four men in prison that seemed nice enough and that either were leaving prison within two years or a lot longer.
Now pen pals is the issue at hand and I do think that pen pals, regardless of whom, should be another thing that people get involved in. I mean it would be like having your own private therapist without getting charged for it and you cannot run in to this person in public unless they get released from jail so it is a win-win situation.

Any thoughts, ideas, or suggestions on the topic?
